Moth numbers continue to fall with only Yellow-barred Brindle new for the year over the last couple of days. Today at Dungeness it was again fairly hard work to find somthing of interest. On the ARC Pit there were LRPs and Ringed Plovers and 1 Little Stint. At Galloways 2 Whinchats showed well but very briefly. A few Wheatears were also there plus 1 Clouded Yellow. We couldn't find much in the trapping area but on the main part of the RSPB reserve there were a few more small waders including a Common Sandpiper, Dunlin, and Ringed and Little Ringed Plovers. On Hayfield 2 the Lapwings were flushed and a Wood Sandpiper also flew up and landed giving a good scope view. There were lots of Sand Martins in the area too.  It then rained.
